In addition to our summer program, we have long-standing leadership training programs. These programs are structured to prepare men and women, young and old, for the task of leading our camp family, present and future, to a saving knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ through the experience they have at HFCC. Although we do not require our staff to have completed one of our leadership training programs, we encourage them as these programs not only teach Biblical leadership skills, but they equip individuals with tools they would not learn elsewhere. We currently have two leadership programs: C.I.L.T. and B.U.I.L.T.

Program duration: 2 years (including 2 weeks/year at HFCC's camp site) |
These programs are similar in format. They can usually be completed in in two years. The programs involve year-round participation through independent-study-type learning. Throughout the program, outside the camping season, the participants will meet with their respective C.I.L.T. or B.U.I.L.T. coordinator(s) for instruction sessions. During the camp season, the participants spend two weeks up at our HFCC camp site practicing outdoor skills and putting what they have learned throughout the rest of the year into practice.
Both of these programs combine a variety of teaching techniques - lecture, reading, hands-on practical experiences- teens are challenged to develop leadership skills that will serve them throughout their lives. In addition to these skills there is a focus on personal Bible Study & character development.
Graduates report that this program equipped them for college leadership, foreign missions & service in their church. They rate the leadership training they received at HFCC as "VERY VALUABLE."
